Salice
Salice is the Italian word for willow, and the name replaced Luca Lagotto at 1722 28th Avenue South after the Pihakis Restaurant Group collapse in April 2026. Chef Rita Bernhardt, Little Donkey chef Joshua Gentry and developer Mike Mouron formed the new ownership group (Bham Now, 1 May 2026; Homewood Star, June 2026). The Homewood Star described the room under its earlier name as serving pasta, pizza and other traditional Italian dishes.
