Full Circle Doughnuts is Wil Drake's revival of the doughnut shop he founded as Hero Doughnuts, which closed when the Pihakis Restaurant Group collapsed in April 2026. It sits at 1726 28th Avenue South near Salice and sells doughnuts, burgers, shakes and breakfast items. Bham Now (7 May 2026) reports that 5 percent of Sunday sales go to rotating local nonprofits and that first responders get free coffee. It is one of two Homewood rooms the Homewood Star lists in Birmingham Restaurant Week 2026 (30 July to 8 August).
