The Garage Café
The Garage is a sandwich shop and dive bar in Highland Park where motorcycles hang from the ceiling and a tree is built from glass beer bottles. Its courtyard, covered in greenery and vintage lawn decor, is the reason people send visitors there. Bham Now readers named it the city's best hidden gem in December 2024, and its 2025 hole-in-the-wall list opened with it: hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem, top local recommendation.
