Miss Myra's has been family-run in Cahaba Heights since 1984, smoking its meats slowly over hickory in a custom-built brick pit, and in July 2026 The Takeout named it among the 14 best barbecue chicken spots in the country for its half-chickens with crisp skin and its signature white barbecue sauce, which Bham Now says adds tang without covering the smoke.
