Current Charcoal Grill is what its own site calls a passion project between Chef Adam Evans and Chef Luke Joseph, near Railroad Park and next to Red Mountain Theatre. The name comes from the Kuroshio Current in the Pacific, and the grill cooks over Japanese binchotan charcoal; the menu draws on Asian flavors and techniques with Gulf seafood and local produce, with dishes like banana-leaf-wrapped redfish and Peking-style roast duck. Suzanne Humphries Evans designed the room.
