Brick & Tin
The Cahaba Heights room of the Birmingham sandwich and soup group opened on 13 March 2026 in Market Square, in the former Cajun Steamer space, as the fourth Alabama location. Founder Mauricio Papapietro, a former Highlands Bar and Grill chef de cuisine, started the original in 2010; the brisket panini was named best sandwich in Alabama by Big 7 Travel. The Vestavia Voice says the kitchen buys from local farms within a 40- to 50-mile radius, and the menu has freshly baked bread, slow-roasted meats, house-made spreads and soups.
